About Our School

Norwood Park Elementary is located at 4710 North 72nd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68507 [map]. Our main office phone number is 402-436-1155. For the past school year 2008-2009, we were located at Abbott Sports Complex, 7600 N. 70th, while Norwood Park was being renovated. We are in the process of moving back to Norwood Park. The office has settled into the new building and teachers are beginning to prepare their classrooms for the students.

Norwood Park Elementary School is a Title 1 School-wide school serving about 120 children in Kindergarten through grade 5. The school building, located on the same site since 1921, is the focal point for the Norwood Park neighborhood and is also a part of the larger Havelock neighborhood located to the west and south of the school building. While the neighborhood has changed over the years, the school continues to be a place where children are challenged academically in a safe, nurturing environment.

As a Title 1 School-wide program, Norwood Park Elementary School is committed to the concept that all school resources support the improved learning of children, the strengthening of the family unit, and the development of community connections and resources. Our school mission statement,
