Don Hempel, Project Manager
Steve Triplett, Superintendent for Judd Brothers
There were three primary needs for Norwood Park that are being addressed in the construction project: classrooms to replace the portable classrooms; gym space appropriate for an elementary school; and air-conditioning. In our project, there will be five classrooms---three new classrooms and two kindergarten rooms in the remodeled space that has been our multi-purpose room. A new gym will also be available that is large enough to fully implement the LPS physical education curriculum. Finally, P-TAC heat pump units will be placed in most of the rooms that will provide cooling and some heating to the classroom. Those rooms without the P-TAC heat pump units will be placed in most of the rooms that will provide cooling and some heating to the classroom. Those rooms without the P-TAC units will be served through a more central system.
Judd Brothers Construction Company is the General Contractor for the Norwood Park project. Don Hempel will be the Project Manager and Steve Triplett will be will be the Superintendent for Judds Brothers. The project will get underway on Monday, June 2. A fence will be put up surrounding the school building. Please remind your children that a construction site can be dangerous and they need to always stay outside the fence. The school's playground equipment will be inside the fence, but the equipment in Sunrise Park will be available for children to play on during the construction. Please note that the office will be accessible from the main door on the west side of the building with parking in the bus cut-out.

We have spent some time this summer sprucing up our web site. We hope that you will find it a much neater place to get all of the information you are after concerning our school. Please always remember that the best way to find out what is going on with your student is to contact his/her teacher directly.
We invite you to call our office (436-1155) to set up a visit of the school and let us tell you about the educational program in our school.
